Start by finalizing your plate text
The first step in choosing a stamp is the text it will carry. Company name, address, tax details and an optional logo determine how many lines you need — and therefore the size. A standard company stamp is usually 3-5 lines.
Squeezing long text into a small font hurts readability. For more than 5 lines, moving up one size always gives a better result.
Choose the mechanism to match how you work
Self-inking stamps re-ink themselves with every impression and are the office standard. Traditional hand stamps need a separate ink pad and are now mostly used for very large plates.
An accounting team stamping dozens of documents a day and a field rep carrying a stamp in a bag have different needs: standard office series for the first, pocket-size models for the second.
Model recommendations by use case
Our recommendations for common scenarios:
- General office use: COLOP Printer Standard series — ideal sizes for 3-5 lines
- Precise alignment on forms: Printer Compact — millimetre positioning thanks to the clear base
- Document registration and archiving: Dater series — day/month/year with an automatic date band
- Field teams: Mini Line and Pocket Stamp — pocket-size covered body
- Warehouse and production: Expert Line — metal body built for intensive use
Replacement pads and long service life
When a self-inking stamp runs out of ink, you replace the pad, not the body. Easy availability of replacement pads determines the long-term cost; pads for all COLOP series are stocked in Turkey by Teknik Atılım.
