Laminating film is a clear protective layer that seals a document from both sides with heat or pressure. The right film is chosen by document size (A4, A3, card size), the machine used and the desired stiffness. The wrong micron or size causes jams and poor results.

80-100 micron is flexible and economical for daily documents. 125 micron is the office and school standard. 175-250 micron gives a card-stiff, heavy-use finish. Never exceed the maximum micron your machine supports.
Pouch film is pre-cut (A4, A3, card size) and practical for low-to-medium volumes. Roll film comes on a roll for roll-type machines and is more economical per square meter for high-volume, continuous or wide-format jobs.
Glossy film makes colors pop and suits menus, posters and visual work. Matte film prevents glare and is preferred for instruction cards read under bright light and documents you need to write on.
Pouch films work with standard hot laminators; roll films with roll-type machines. The SARFF film range works with common machine types — if unsure, share your machine model and we will recommend the right film.
